OK Shabu Shabu Revisited @ East Coast Road

It has been ages since the last visit to OK! Shabu Shabu, they are still as packed as ever and ventilation hardly improved since the last.

soup base

One soup base each for every diner and I went for the safe chicken soup. Not much of a taste but better than plain water.

meats

Meats
Pork, Beef, Fish

These are shaved finely and are perfect for dipping into the hotpot. Prefer the beef to pork but it depends on which parts once again, the second plate ended up with too much tendon. Fish came in a frozen block.

sauce

The bean paste that makes all the difference to the dipping sauce.

tealeaf egg

Tea egg is one of those items that I cannot resist ordering.

sweet potato noodle

Sweet Potato noodle

These translucent flat noodles are delicious after dipping into the accompanying sauces. Dense and thick like jelly with a bit more bite, but these cause indigestion when not chewed properly or consumed in large quantities.

veggies

Decent variety of vegetables.

chye poh omelette

Cooked food
Chicken nuggets, tea egg, chye poh omelette

It is strange that the chye poh omelette was served chilled, not that dipping in the boiling pot would not help but I rather it were cooked to order.

Prices have hardly changed too which is a major plus point! If memory serves me well it's under $20 per pax which makes this value for money.
