Salted Caramel @ Upper Thomson

Upper Thomson probably rivals Tanjong Katong for the most number of icecream shops – Salted Caramel is right smack next to Udders and was pulling crowds from the latter methinks. Neverending streams of people entering the already small outfit.

With a name like “salted caramel”, the promise of a good salted caramel icecream is plastered all over. Ended up too sweet than salty though, not a fan of it.

So crowded.

Horlicks Tim Tam ($3)

The single scoop is a tad too small I say and the flavour was not too distinct. Tim tams were pretty much mixed in rather than made a flavour.

Avocado Icecream ($3)
Waffles ($3.50)

With every table ordering a waffle, I had to try it! It looked like every other waffle that had disappointed but lo and behold, it tasted much better than it looks. Crispy on the outside with a chewy interior, exactly like the ้›ž่›‹ไป”like I so adore in Hongkong.

I had honey drizzled over it and thankfully was not tooth achingly sweet! The bland avocado icecream was a good contrast, loved the avocado bits blended into the creamy icecream.

Can’t wait to check out the rest of the icecream parlours in the area!
