New Asia Bar is the highest that Swissotel has, a floor higher than City Space. There have been occasions that I've seen party goers head in the direction of New Asia Bar while I made my way to CitySpace yet the interest was not piqued till this particular visit.
Empty dancefloor at sundown.
Very spacious bar with lots of room for late night partying. One of my major pet peeves in a club is not having enough space to loiter around!
The other side of the Singapore view from on top, a more residential side.
Most tables were already deserved by 630pm, we were given the table on the pretext that we cleared it by 730pm, before the next reservation.
Curry crackers, awesome for nibbling!
Mango and Chilli New Asia Bellini ($19)
Classic sparkler of fresh pureed fruits and Moet Chandon Champagne
I went for a daring mango chilli fruity drink as opposed to the other tamer options of lychee, spiced pineapple and passionfruit. Pureed fruit or not, the fruity undertones were evident throughout the drink whilst chilli was lacking in punch.
Lychee New Asia Fruit Martini ($16)
Russian Standard Vodka
This was fruitier and sweeter on the palette. One forgettable martini.
I like how the bar dimmed and changed colours once past 7pm.
Gorgeous shot of the night view!
New Asia Bar is probably better for clubbing than chilling per se. Would still very much prefer CitySpace in comparison. Otherwise, the view from Swissotel is still top of the list for me.
Dining menu was the same for both New Asia Bar and CitySpace...not too sure about IntroBar at the ground floor though. The minor peeve was hearing the kitchen clingclang their way through their cooking adventures - walls are probably not too well sound proofed for the early evening!
