Cityspace Revisited @ Swissotel

It's no secret by now which are tops of my list for favourite bar. Actually tied in the same spot are Cityspace, Long Bar and Morton's Bar. Honestly strange given the number of new bars that keep opening and closing along the way - hard to snatch the crown from either.

I've spoken to death about Cityspace's gorgeous night landscape of Singapore - seeing your country glow from atop is quite a different feeling altogether.

cityspace

Back over and over and over again!

lights

Always get enthralled by the ceiling!

cityspace love

Walk-ins only entertained so either you head there before 8 or after 10, in between you probably get an undesired corner. Window seats come at a lovely surcharge of $20 slapped onto the bill.

bubble tea

Once again charmed by another on the Experiential Signature Cocktail list, Bubble Tea ($15)!

Sakura! sakura! tea, Tanqueray Gin, Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Cranberry and Pomegranate Grenadine

This arrived in the cutest cocktail glass ever - think champagne glass length with a cup at the end. Loved it! I wonder if these are retailed all over, would love to own one! Theatrics involved soaking in a bauble and it started bubbling like dry ice would. So, that was the bubble, lovely play on it...was half hoping QQ balls were infused in. Nonetheless a really fruity smelling and tasting cocktail. Nailed it as one of my Cityspace favourite drinks! Adored the grapefruit pulp within as well, gave this a rather sunshine taste to it.

twg tea infused

Classic Cocktails Inspired by TWG Tea

French 7-Tea-5 ($20)
Sakura! sakura! tea, Tanqueray Gin, Fresh Lemon Juice and Honey, Moet Chandon Champagne

Despite having the same major ingredients as Bubble Tea, this was alot zestier and punchy with the sour lemon juice infused. Moet gave it a fizzier edge too. Did not mind this too much though preference still goes to Bubble Tea!

Decided to give their pizzas a go after seeing nearly every table having one - honestly, watching the night scene nibbling pizza and whining about the week is major therapy! Plans are already in the works for yet another gorgeous return.

pizza at cityspace

Prosciutto, Cherry Tomato with Sour Cream and Rocket Salad ($35)

Usually not a fan of thin crust pizzas, much less lukewarm pizzas but this time, Cityspace overturned the tables with a lukewarm version of typically piping hot pizzas. Evenly thin crust with a crunchy side - almost thick biscuit like. Loved the fact the pizza was not soaking in ingredients - just enough for the pizza base not to bend over from the weight or liquid. Mildly salty prosciutto, juicy tomatoes with sour cream and rockets - major major loving going on. Definitely not going to be my last pizza!

The regular favourite snacks played hard to get after the first serving - took us 3 requests to get 2 servings, 1 of which was hastily replaced with the next.

Yet another rave - this already sounds unbelievably good and strangely, they get better with each visit. Bossa Nova-esque (if there's such a word!) music, with vocals so floaty yet thick to serenade us with.

Alcoholic or not, Cityspace is one for keeps!

night a loving

I have made so many revisits, they should issue me with a VVVIP card of some sorts. Was by sheer luck that we managed to get seats on a Friday night without reservations - hooray! Squashed in a corner but I suppose the company more than made up for a lack of a comfortable seat and corner.

bubble tea!

Bubble Tea ($22)

Decided to go safe with the tried and tested, once again...so very yummy. Maybe I should quit being adventurous in places like these for guaranteed satisfaction.

mangaroma

Mangorama ($25)
Calvados, Belvedere Pomarancza, Mango and Passionfruit, Chilli, Herbal Fog, Marjoram, Rosemary, Orange Blossom

This had a spicier kick than the last I remember it. Still loving the theatrics involved in presentation.

Shimmer ($28)
Moet and Chandon Champagne, pureed lychees, Prucia Umeshu Plum Liquer

Pleasantly surprised by this citrusy champagne number. I could bottoms up this in a wink of an eye and possibly still walk out straight.

The charm worked wonders with a xth visit scheduled the very next day! Hooray. Heading there at 5pm was a mistake, the sun rays were way to glaring. Returning at 6ish was better!

cityspace piano

Seeing Cityspace in the glaring daylights did diminise the night charm quite abit.
cityspace ceiling

I wish I had a lounge like that at home!

More of the cosy.
two loves

You Do Yuzu? ($20)*Japanese yuzu juice, Grand Marnier, Honey, Moet and Chandon Champagne

honeycomb

Was served a portion of honeycomb chocolate, strangely. Loved the fizz and zest of yuzu, gentle intoxication I call this.

bubbletea

Bubble Tea  ($16)*

I think this is fast becoming a permanent favourite of Cityspace. Lovin' it still!

I wonder if Cityspace will lose its charm on me...at least not for a long while. Awesome for chilling, bitching...unwinding from all the stress. Proven so many times with so many groups of friends...there has to be some truth eh!

snacks

Consistently addictive.

Oh yes, I've found separate groups of people who are willing to complete trying their cocktail list with me, VVVIP membership please? Day or night I am equally obsessed.

*Prices listed are happy hour prices.
