Bali is also known as the "island of a thousand temples", yet with the family that believes in seeing one, seeing all, we naturally did not bother with the rest of the temples. We were driving through Pura Tirta Empul and having a discussion about Bali Durians.
Until we saw a makeshift durian stall. Engine gets turned off, the rest...is a tale of greed.
I'm no durian fan, time and again I repeat. As much as the King of Fruits stinks me up, I was actually game enough to try them in Bali!
With an entire coach of durian lovers, it was no time before we started opening durians and eating them by the roadside.
Driver included.
Balinese durians are more watery in texture, definitely less pungent and easier to stomach. Actually enjoyed them!
Old fashioned way of washing hands, off the bottle! I really wonder where does the water come from, judging from the lack of facilities around.
The others who have made an attempt on Balinese durians.
