Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore @ Cuppage Terrace

Cuppage Terrace has been a part of Orchard that I hardly venture to. Lined with a string of pubs and restaurants...the choice of dining should have been Santouka if not for the crowds. Pasta Fresca was one of the few who bothered with us on a busy Friday night...talk about service.

pasta de fresca

Paintings that were a good distraction since there was nary an oven in wall concept to oogle at.

tenderloin

Sliced Beef Tenderloin in Rosemary sauce ($33.90)
Grilled Vegetables and rucola

Feeling beef-ish, we disregarded the usual Italian favourites of pasta and risotto for beef. Served medium, it looked the part of a sumpteous dinner. To sum the dish up, it was tender but not in a melt in your mouth manner, neither was it overflowing with juices with every bite..it was at best normal and tragically so. At different parts of the tenderloin, it was more tender than the rest..while some bits were tough. Felt like a ripoff for the price paid and quality dished up.

4 cheese pizza

Quattro Formaggi ($19.90)
Emmenthal cheese, Danish Blue Cheese, Parmesan Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese

4 cheese pizza this was with the cracker thin based bread holding up quite well. Would not say I am a mega huge fan of this...just alright.

In all "alrightness", I actually did not want dessert anymore, no matter how enticing the next table's crepe and icecream looked. Mediocre food with staff that could barely match up with the menu. Pasta Fresca has always been a by the way kind of place since eons ago and I'm afraid it will remain so.
