Yoshinoya @ Ginza

I usually shun Yoshinoya here because of a harrowing childhood experience of scoffing down too many of their blanched beef with rice and boiled vegetables. Yet in the Land of the Rising Sun and where it originated form, I figured it would be different.

The reason why it was packed. Or so I think.

The whole eatery was screaming it.

Gyu-nabe-don (390Yen)

The set which got us all L-O-L-ing. The flyer and banner all made it seem a lot more but when it arrived, it was laughter inducing. Literally one cracked raw egg, three slices of tofu and a beef bowl with vermicilli and rice.

I'm never one who adores raw egg mixed into rice, not even bimbimbap but this was surprisingly good.

Another of those sets that looked better on print.

Tasted like smoked salmon with all the salt without the smokeyness.

Honestly, Yoshinoya does taste quite good! Have yet to walk out of the childhood scare in Singapore yet.

They even had a seasonal special of grilled wagyu! *slurps
