Willy Wonka's Dream: Corne Toison D'Or

Each lay claims to being Belgium's finest, Corne Toison D'Or's no exception.

By now, I was used to the dizzying range of chocolates that would greet me at every entrance.

Mini pyramids of love.

Complimentaries that opened up a whole new dimension of yum.

Melting moments of bliss, chocolates when eaten with your eyes closed remind you of nothing but happiness. I think I found that in Brussel's Best - Corne Toison D'Or. Perhaps the flavours I picked were right, perhaps I liked it more for the service and chocolates combined...perhaps, perhaps...

  1. Nice pink layout...

Hmm... your 13 days foodie coverage seems to be in theme, waffles and now chocolates, did you eat them all in a row?

Btw, love the photos posted on fb, Chloe and you are so photogenic :)

  2. @ stargirl: heh, thanks!!

@ fen: going really girlie here. ;P yeah, most unfortunately i had them one after another...was almost like a rampage. *oops* you can almost imagine after 13 days how much weight i piled on!! heh, i think the picturesque surroundings in europe played a major part making the pictures pretty!~~ quick go seal ur honeymoon location now, good luck with the 4 week negotiation with yuan~!

  3. I have more or less settled with the locations but Yuan is not giving in to more than 18 days... :(

He felt that it is going to be very tiring and eventually the trip will be a chore...

Decided to give Paris a miss, will be Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice), Austria (Vienna, Salzburg, Danube Valley) and Switzerland (Lucerne, Interlaken and Geneva)... Now the question is this is too much for 18 days, eliminating them will be a tough one.

  4. hmmz..just a word of advice, packing in too much may end up in a "touch and go" situation and not enjoying the country proper given that the flight itself already takes 2 days. :) The places you mentioned sound great!!! Switzerland's a place I wanted to include but the francs put me off. =p You shd start hoarding the euros nw!! How about going through the places and attractions and seeing which one appeals more, though I was like you initially...I refused to let go of the places I originally planned. Good luck!

  5. I know, the last thing I want is to touch and go... I have only looked at Austria in detail and it seems like Salzburg and Danube Valley are a must-visit. Moreover, Vienna is a one of the places that has the imperial palaces... so...

As for Switzerland, the standard route to take is from Lucerne to Geneva and seems to be marked as one of the most beautiful places...

Having seen Harris' album, it is so difficult to eliminate one of the 3 cities in Italy... Hai, it is always easy to plan a long holiday but a dilemna to cut it short...

Maybe I should bargain 2 trips instead of 1...

I was thinking of keeping some Euros but Yuan expects is to drop even further... Guys...

Haven't seen so all for a long time, perhaps it is time to bug Harris to get everybody to meet up...

  6. yes go bargain for 2 trips!! Europe is definitely worth more than 1 trip...i wanna go back already! :P heh...ive heard otherwise though, for euro to hit 1.7 is historical! no harm storing some now. =p
