Barely filled, it felt as if we had the whole lounge to ourselves.
Camomile with a pot of
Honey over sugar, anyday.
Strawberry preserve and clotted cream for the Old English familiarity.
This took quite awhile to arrive, which I fully understood why later.
Raisin scones with strawberries. Not the best scones I had, but were good enough when buttered with jam. Another pity that the strawberries were not sweet.
Chocolate cups with edible gold which I gladly passed, they pleased the chocolate lover plenty! Possibly the most expensive item in the tier.
Raspberry Tartlets
No surprises with this straight forward item, almost as if it was constructed with a ready-made tartlet, custard and raspberries.
Blueberry Cheesecake
Just the way I like it, velvety smooth.
Sponge custard cake with Oatmeal cookie
This surprised me, particularly with the crunchy oatmeal cookie base that I was not expecting.
Smoked Salmon Pita
Simple savoury delights, that's what this is.
Prawn with Sundried Tomato Bread
Crystal prawn lacking in bite, not a fan of it.
Brie Cheese with Pickle, Raisins
Found the cheese a little hard, interesting pairing of japanese pickle with raisins.
Buffalo Cheese with Olive and Tomato
Ordinary.
Ham Cheese Croissant
Did not mind this too much.
This high tea sessions ranks high in terms of value, $33 nett for two screams "it's a steal!". Oh did I mention there is an awesome waterfall in the garden that makes it seem so very Shang'rila?
Sheraton Hotel
i love the ambience at sheraton hotel's lobby too! i love the rich and creamy cheesecake, sinfully decadent chocolate praline tart and vanilla ice cream (addictive!) most of the desserts from the Dining Room's sunday afternoon tea :D
ReplyDelete(: yay, another fan of sheraton's...how much is the dining room's afternoon tea?
ReplyDelete$32.80++ for the international/local one on sundays. don't bother with the mains though, thankfully there's only a small selection of those. you've got to try their vanilla ice cream!
