Going back to traditionals for meals and snacks these days...partly because the christmas retail therapy's taking its toll on my pocket! Yet another Sunday morning spent at Amoy, the place really grows on you..one of the few very well ventilated food centers that boasts of a cool nearly freezing morning breeze.
Ah Seng's one of the few drinks stalls that are open over the weekends.

Kaya Toast ($1.60) and Kopi ($0.70) that's a Kiliney staple with slightly cheaper prices though marginally. The kaya toast was crusty and flimsy. They probably did not toast the bread long enough.
Kopi was a different story altogether, potent stuff. The ladies were kind enough to dilute the coffee as it was too sweet.
I'm loving the old school plate and saucers!
FrenchToast ($3) beckons...next time maybe?

Hey, have you tried the thunder tea rice at amoy? I always have it when I was interning haha. It's one of the few hawker food I eat. But it's an acquired taste.. You either love it or hate it. Heh, I love it! =)
ReplyDeleteI've not! Too much good food to try everytime I'm there..now that you've mentioned, shall make it a point to try!
