FINALLY I paid a visit to Fou de Fafa. To cut the story short...

Very amusing menu board they've got!

Spot the clock that reads the other way around?

Lunch quick come!

The order number made me laugh.

Vegetarian Pancake Lasagna ($16.50)
It was a toss up between the beef and vegetarian and the lady at the counter suggested vegetarian because we already ordered a meat pizza. Drizzled in teriyaki sauce and mayo, this pancake lasagna has layers of pancakes and stuffed with zucchini, tomato and feta cheese. Not quite my idea of a best seller, tasted heavy on the sauces. Slightly heavy on flavours, the pancakes were light however. Reminded me of the Japanese pancake from Taka food court. Maybe we should've stuck with beef.

Chicken Pizza ($26)
We were advised to "cut and eat with our hands". The thin pizza's got a biscuit as a base, very crunchy and addictive. I had fun breaking the pizza cracker and munching it. The ingredients are scattered very generously across the crust. Think chunky ingredients; eggs, chicken, avocado, spinach. It's different from the Italian pizzas that I've eaten, tasted more wholesome as the ingredients aren't baked with cheese and the pizza, just sprinkled.

Ham and cheese quiche ($8.50)
Much ado about nothing..nothing fantabulous, the quiche looked greedily at us underneath the glass container. Was served with a salad side, the quiche pastry was slightly bland, the ham bits were bland..not much of a cheese nor egg taste. Preferred the overly eggified one at Fre(n)sh better.

Almond waffled ($4.50)
This was served warmed and way before the mains arrived, it didn't matter because it started the meal brilliantly! Basically it's a waffle stack with almonds. Not at all sweet, I adore the fluffy waffles.
They serve Thai, sandwiches, pancakes...desserts...a mishmash of everything really.
Service is warm and welcoming, something about this place that makes it attractive. The artsy humourous part of it is displayed through their menu, their upside down clock...even the reservation's done written on a chalk board and rested on the table "reserved by so-and-so, table of (how many) and timing". That cracked us up considerably. I get the feeling this place lightens up the tense atmosphere within the building, as if life shouldn't be taken so seriously, only food. You get sincere questions on the food, whether or not we're doing fine...only downside, I walked out smelling like Fou de Fafa.
Definitely will be back, loving it!
