The most unlikely place for dinner with R and our friends one night, Soup Restaurant at DFS. Both of us had no inkling it existed at DFS! But we were in for a surprise.

There are miniature streams (okay, just two), over looking willowy trees and traditional wooden tables to complete the whole "back in china" feel about the place. Tres ambience I say! The China waitresses completed it.
Steamed peanuts, $2

I liked this soft steamed flavourful treat! An appetizer indeed.
Stewed Chicken Breast with Roast Pork and Tofu, $10.80 (small)

I figure this is cooked in a huge pot and dished out accordingly because this dish ended up with more roast pork cubes than chicken breast and a whole lot of mushrooms. Tasty it is, good with steamy white rice.
Stir fried kai lan with Tong Guai, $8.80 (small)

Very normal oily herbal stir fried kai lan. We were hesitating over this and their signature sambal kangkong. But who goes to a chinese restaurant for fried kangkong?
The bill totaled to $27 for two. The portions are eye-poppingly small. Service is...well, alright. Pricey chinese food it is, not sure if I'd return.
