Easter follows any other commercialised festival with supermarts and every thinkable candy-related retailer also cashing in on it - bunnies, chicks and eggs...! On an irrelevant note, logically speaking bunnies do not even lay eggs! Anyhow, these are the few things that I had to add some cheer to this special day - also known as the resurrection of Christ.
Candylicious, $3 each
These uber cute chocolate lollipops were really too cute to eat!
Palmers, Chocolate Bunny, $5.95
Packaging really appeals to the kiddos or adults who have that inner child. Loved the packaging - like the bunny I never had. This was a tad sweet and certainly not the bestest chocolate one can get at that price but for novelty's sake, this wins hands down!
Just like chocolate eggs, hot cross buns are as synonymous with the festival.
Ah Teng's Bakery, Hotcross Buns, $4
Well portioned, these
Decent dense cinnamon raisin buns. Somehow these taste just like buns. Honestly have yet to eat a hot cross bun that is remarkably special.
Marks and Spencers, $5.90 per pack of 4
Marks and Spencer's hot cross buns came in a variety of flavours but we headed for the original. Immensely soft and fluffy and packed with raisins, I have to say they certainly do not lose out to the bakeries, if not triumph them even!
Super belated Easter but I had fun this year!
