Special thanks to Shanyu for the invite!
Noob me has not paid a visit to ToTT's despite going on a furniture and homeware rampage a few months earlier.
Surprise-surprise they have a bistro too, to feed diners after they are done shopping or attending a cooking class.
A well thought through concept methinks and here is a pictorial of their limited time specials.
Light toasty delights that serve as great appetizers. Very homemade but this gives inspiration for future kitchen experiments!
Muesli Battered Fish and Chips ($9.90)
ToTT has gone ToTTful with healthier options like including a muesli batter to fish and chips. This hinges on the sweet side.
Satay Chicken Chop with Pandan Steamed Rice ($9.90)
Their creative take on nasi lemak draws some applause - a perfumed pandan rice with a satay spice rubbed chicken chop.
Prawn Noodle Soup ($12.90)
The prawn broth is painstakingly boiled for 3-4 hours and served with King Prawns and Pork Ribs. A soupy dish worth trying!
Kid's friendly and considered a brunch item on the menu, I enjoyed it for its fluffy texture.
The variety of dishes include both Asian and Western delights, which suits most palettes. A great casual place to hang out and rest the tired feet after shopping at ToTT which I am dying to check out.
The 4th anniversary sale is on till 31 October and discounts are truly attractive! I wish I can snap photos in their no-photography retail zone - it is HUGE and I can spend hours filling my baskets with homeware.

Bruschetta ($6.90)

Chicken Cottage Pie ($8.90)
This belonged to the "Lil' ToTT Specials" menu and served in a porcelain bowl. Delve deep into the potato-tomato combination for the minced chicken. I thought this was a hearty pie!
Steak Sandwich with Fries and Coleslaw ($14.90)
A very decently priced steak sandwich - adored the caramelised onions and coleslaw. Perhaps wasabi mayo can be added for a tastier punch.

Mee Rebus Deluxe ($12.90)
I thought this was closest to the hawker favourite, tau kwa, prawns and chilli chillies added in for extra satisfaction.

I think their food is pretty decent, just rather expensive.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you on that! Food isn't the topmost priority if I were to head back to ToTT's.
