Openrice reveals new mobile app - OpenSnap!

Special thanks to Open Rice and Katrina for the invite!
This is another guest starring J.

What's OpenSnap?

It's a nifty mobile app that allows users to seek out good eats near where they are, Find restaurants that have the dishes you want to eat, in real time. No more clogging your phone tons of food photos (I know, I have that problem) and store everything online! You can share your photos and reviews to all major social platforms too.

Unique features of OpenSnap:

- Explore new dining options or browse for nearby restaurants via food photos uploaded by other users, dish name, restaurant name and location.

- Browse over 1 million restaurants in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines.

- Users can create their own individual food albums, with photo enhancing filters and stickers to improve on picture quality. Think Instagram, for foodies, upgraded.

How do I find OpenSnap and use it?

It's available on iTunes or Google Play.

I always believe in working hard and playing harder and the folks at Openrice also understood and we were all treated to a meal at Flutes, National Museum.

bread
Bread

The bread was quite chewy and flavorful, and warm. Surprisingly good.

mushroom soup

Cream of Mushroom

A competent version, this one has a dash of truffle oil added but I would have liked to add a few more splashes.

beef

Grilled Beef Striploin

I asked specifically for 'Medium Rare' (I know, I'm a real carnivore), but this came rare on some parts, medium on others, and well done on another part. Was a good cut of beef that was wasted, if you ask me.

chocolate cake

Dark Chocolate Cake

This was rather disappointing; the sauce for the cake tasted like condensed milk. The cocoa tasted way too milky for this to be called a dark chocolate cake.
