Big Bad Wolf came to mind for a weekday dinner when we were all feeling like having junkfood. Double yays when the place was not as intimidatingly packed as the reports claim in its earlier days.
I like the concept of the shop - casual, corners of interesting paraphernalia and mismatched chairs! I figure I am quite intrigued by places with mismatched furniture - the whole finding beauty in the ugly notion.

Big Bad Wolf Burger ($13)
fresh all beef patty, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, caramelized onions and special sauce
We had the patty done medium, thankfully the chef had pretty good fire management. It arrived well charred and armed with a smokey fragrance. Juicy minced patty with a nice bite.
Bak Kwa Burger ($16)
As much as I would not like to classify this as a "chinese new year" leftover concept but I totally fell for it when the waiter highlighted the special. Bak Kwa anything goes for me, what more with pulled pork and slices of barbequed pork AND caramelized slice of pineapple? Completely Kim Peng Hiang in a burger. The puny burger got me disappointed but who cares about size when all you really have is a mighty flavourful and spot on burger. Pork ruleths this time! Trumps the cow.
Bangers and Mash ($17)
english veal sausages, mash potato and thick gravy
This English favourite replaced the spot meant for yet another burger. One helluva wrong move. The sausages were not all that bad but for the mash to overshadow it, says alot.

Service is attentive though I cannot fault them since there is no service charge nor taxes. One cosy place to hang out for comfort food. Liking it!
