The Stomping Ground and Frozen Bites are the latest additions to One Fullerton, with the former going the way of tapas.
Al fresco anyone?
Service is warm and attentive. Recommendations are dished out so readily. Reservations are hardly needed as most prefer to chill outside with the famed merlion whilst we preferred to take shelter inside and lounge around their super cushy tall chairs and tables.
French music that played on was quite a perfect way to start the early Friday night.
Incredibly neat and straight handwriting!
Kitschy interior.
Get ready to be stomped!
Let yummy begin.
Glasses of sky juice to start the evening!
Truffle Fries ($10)
I have an absolute weakness for truffle fries and theirs is quite unassuming - barely a whiff despite being so upclose with it. Just the right dose of truffle oil!
Bangers and Mash ($10)
I would correct this grammatically - one banger and a dollop of mash. Despite the portions, it was executed so well.
TSG Fish and Chips ($10)
Reminded me of Mangosteen and Queen's Curry Tartare Fish and Chips, this had spiced fries with three plump fish filets. A decadent take on this Brit pub grub.
Garlic Chilli Mac and Cheese ($10)
Chilli padi totally nailed this with the delish crisp bits and creamy cheesy combination. Doubles of this!
Garlic Prawns Satay Style ($10)
Crystal prawns that were a tad too artificially enhanced though the breaded bits were delish.
Trio Mini Wagyu Burgers ($15)
Wagyu patties made too mush, these were not the greatest attempted.
"Fall of the Bone" Baby Ribs ($15)
Though brushed with a sticky barbeque sauce, this was still lacking in taste.
Oats and Breadcrumbs Spring Chicken ($15)
Deemed "possible to share amongst two."..how wrong was that! Simply one chicken patty chopped up, quite like the taiwanese snack though in smaller portions. Not a KFC contender at all though this would go really well with beer.
Truffle Tagliatelle ($18)
Comes with a precious few grams of shaved truffle and a single portion of creamy pasta. It is mighty delicious yet with such a puny portion, it is painfully expensive.
How puny it really is.
Lychee Martini ($18)
Watermelon Martini ($18)
The sweet bartender made this sweeter and less potent for me, though watermelon hints were really mild.
Food in small plates which encourages sharing though I would not heartily agree on "generous portions" or "lean pricing" as promised. Indeed, food when shared and in small quantities does increase the enjoyment greatly.
Portions of food are small, even for ladies. Meant only to nibble and sip your drinks and does rival Spanish tapas servings for bite-sized. Nonetheless, a great place to unwind and chase the blues away (if any!). Above average bar food with a lovely ambience to match.
