Shangrila and the parents go back in time...to decades where they decided to pledge their love for each other and two became one. Surprisingly or not, they have not headed back for years...until the Dad's birthday. Doing away with buffets, we went cantonese.

Adore the generous usage of red here...love the shade!

Still marvelling at the tea sticks.

The consistent red.

Even the napkin rings enthrall me.

Take a swipe of your hands before dinner commences.

Suckling Pig ($30)
Labelled chef's signature...most rightfully so! The pig crackling is different from pork knuckle crackling...dense, crazily fragrant and crunchy...I lament its morsel portions. Under the canopy of crunch is a sliver of creamy foie gras. East meets west...unctuous joy. Indulgent indeed, but in the most deserving manner.

Half Peking Duck ($40)
Riding on a high of roast...we had peking duck next! Crispy duck skin wrapped with the usual cucumber and smeared with sauce on a pasty popiah skin...delicious one!

We had the rest of the duck chopped up. Unlike Yan Ting's, this was a lot drier and less succulent. Lacked the flavours so desired.

I liked the gooey plum sauce though!

Braised Eefu Noodle with Crabmeat ($22)

Looks like Mui Fan and tasted like one too.

Springy noodles beneath the blanket of egg white, snow peas and crab meat which I found bland. Though there's nothing a dash of soya couldn't do...this has to be the healthiest eefu noodle attempted to date.

Highly sought after and recommended. Puree of avocado and a scoop of vanilla icecream ($9). Really pleasant way to end off the meal, I actually liked this!

Complimentary longeveity buns for aged and ageing!

L-o-v-e-d it! Smooth and chewy white lotus paste.
I wish they could have informed us about dimsum being served during dinner as well..would have loved to try their dimsum after so long! At least 30% early bird applies if you dine and leave before 12 every Sunday. Quality of food surpassed expectations...especially after reading so many negative reviews about this place..better than expected I have to add.
