Brunch at P.S. Cafe one Saturday morning..thinking that half the world of people would be snug in bed. How wrong was I.
The menus vary across various outlets and this particular outlet had a rather limited Brunch menu consisting of ten items at best. Pretty anal they are about the exact timing of lunch (1130am, not a minute earlier) when we were less than half an hour to it!
All Day Breakfast Sandwich
Panfried egg, wilted sandwich, melted gyuvere and mozzarella with tomato, avocado, homemade mayo and crispy bacon
This arrived on a chopping board with a stack of bread so high, the amount of carbs was too much of an awakening for the first meal of the day. Hearty sandwich which I would honestly trade the bread for more ingredients though.
Eggs Benedict
English Muffins topped with ham, poached egg and hollandaise
P.S. Cafe's version does not have a trace of sourness which suits my bill for Eggs Benny. That being said, authenticity aside..this could pass off as a premium Mcmuffin. A great pity the poached egg was served lukewarm.
I was looking forward to truffle fries if they allowed a lunch order at brunch. Then again...more reason for a return? Up to this point, P.S. Cafe is a great dessert place.
