The French Stall @ Macpherson Lane

I stumbled upon this one afternoon with a slight recollection of its other outlet at Serangoon. 2 course for $15.80,  3 course for $17.80, at one glance pocket friendly prices for French cuisine!

Walls adorned with photos and writeups.

French Onion Soup

On the greasy side, flavourful soup no doubt despite the thin consistency of the soup. If only the bread was not so soaked in the soup, the melted mozzarella was otherwise a joy.

Pan Fried Dory Fillet with Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Butter

The original intent was to have the pork loin or duck breast but both were coincidentally sold out for the day. Dory Fillet became the third best alternative. Thick fillets panfried to awesome crispyness, it has been ages since I encountered such a well fried dory fillet! Buttery mashed potatoes made this doubly delightful.

Grilled Chicken Thigh with Roasted Potatoes

Juicy chicken that was equally well done, I was beginning to question if the stall owners were even profiting from such low priced dishes.

Traditional Creme Caramel

I was disappointed to know the top layer was not torched, simply drizzled in caramel. It's got a nice, smooth consistency...delve further to reveal a wobbly molten custard. A different kind of creme brulee ever eaten, in fact I prefer this version to the others attempted somehow.

Affordable delicious french fare, I'm ready for seconds already!
