Chocolate dreams at The Patissier, Ann Siang Hill

Chocolate and me go back a long way. I used to hate them for sticking to my teeth and refused the heavenly treasures until pimples started sprouting. From then on, chocolate was akin to the forbidden fruit. The point about eating the forbidden always makes temptations greater.

Chocolate Fudge cake was the star at a relative's birthday bash. Antartic Dreams is thy name with toy penguins hopping all over the cake. White chocolate mousse forms the ice blocks, delve any deeper...danger zone.

Layers of rich, decadent...luxurious chocolate. Crunchy bits embedded at the bottom makes this chocolate cake more complete with the various textures. It ain't just chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Valrhona makes this smoother and gratifying. The white chocolate mousse was no second fiddle to this awesome one, lightly it pranced around the tongue and dissolved into nothingness.

Heaven or hell, I had the days after to test for facial reactions (which did happen!). Well deserving of a major outbreak, Patissier's chocolate fudge is officially to die for.

Doorgifts of chocolate fudge blocks were given out...screaming chichi to the max! Overly sweet chocolate shell and fudge, served its ornamental purposes well! It was impressive at first glance!

I used to frequent Patissier for its avant garde desserts in the days where confectioneries were largely governed by Bengawan Solo and Prima Deli. Mousse put me off then, I returned years later and fell head over heart with its Passionfruit Meringue...I think, I found love again.
