Invited Session: Patite Patissier Launch

Many thanks to Celena for the invite!

I was invited to a different kind of media launch, courtesy of Patite Patissier from the brains behind The Patissier. After Icing Room, PP positions itself as the equivalent with ready to design mousse cakes. With delectable choices like Mango, Strawberry and Chocolate, there is something for everyone! Retailing exclusively at Meidi-Ya at $25, design kits are also available for $12.90

We had the pleasure of dressing up our own mousse cakes with all the snackworthy items like Pocky sticks, wafer sticks, butter waffles, hundreds thousands...almost like a mini kitchen!

Here's a trivia a spin off from the fish adage: Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

The food blogger's version is: Give a food blogger a cake, they end up taking pictures with their new kitchen hats, aprons and everything else. Teach them how to design, they end up spending more time taking pictures than designing.

Do not expect The Patissier kind of vavavroom cakes, these are modest mousse cakes. My personal favourite has to be Strawberry over Mango. The layers of mousse and sponge are well balanced and thankfully not soggy though that would be the case if left out too long so manage the "thaw" timing well! Other than that, get ready to wow the table with something different this birthday/anniversary/ any day that gives you a reason to celebrate.

I really wish I have the pictures to show all the beautiful creations we had so much fun doing but the computer had to crash taking along it the snaps of the event. Tough luck I know..hop over to the rest of the blogs for visual delight!

  1. Oh my goodness, how can tat happen? Better back up all your other photos before your computer cranked up on you.

Anyway, given that this is a blogger outing, I am sure you and Chloe have been captured on other cameras, considering how photogenic you guys are =)

Come to think about it, I haven't emailed you all the pictures. Have been so busy... and can't wait to catch up real soon...
