Overeasy @ One Fullerton

One Fullerton has become more alluring after its makeover quite some time back, at least it's seen me heading back twice in a span of a fortnight...partly for food and ambiance.

From the management of Loof and White Rabbit, Overeasy adds to their list of watering holes that has gained much fame amongst the stressed and needing a drink or two.

Overeasy and their "Stock market promotion" has been the main draw for happy hour since almost all the table made an order of their famous $1 cheesesteak sliders! How it works, very simple: When the stock market is down, you get to purchase their sliders at a dollar a pop...and we were lucky!

Bar where liquid dreams come alive.

Red Wine

Happy hour credit card special: One for one. Both have to be the same drink i.e. red wine, white, house pours or beers. One major major major pet peeve; wine that is not served chilled, and not dried properly. Not a wine connoisseur hence can't comment too much on the wine.

Chicken Wings with Hot Sauce and Ranch Dressing ($14)

Another Mcdonald moment here, McWings...almost! The meat was over salted. Liked the hot sauce and ranch dressing enough to keep dippingthe haystack fries.

Cheesesteak Sliders

$1 each during happy hour; 530-7pm. I honestly preferred these to the "To Die For" Burger since beef steaks were used (although cube-portions..think teppanyaki grill!) as opposed to beef patty. Petite portions but after 6 cocktail burgers each, we called it a day.

The "To Die For" Burger ($19)
Homemade Bun, Freshly ground chuck and special overeasy sauce, freshly cut haystack fries with parmesan and rosemary

Almost like Big Mac, only richer in beef taste. The "special overeasy sauce" was thousand island at best. Their haystack fries are to die for! Thicker than toothpicks, these fries are made from scratch...loving it!

Blueberry Dessert Pancakes Hot off the Griddle ($12)

Thank goodness there was no Mcdonald moment here! A choice of either blueberry ot strawberry compote. Fluffy and fat, these panckes satisfied the longest craving for pancakes ever since! Liked how fresh blueberries were embedded in the pancakes and topped with dried blueberries! Oh yes, no whipped cream on this..yay! Whipped cream on anything non-beverage is...old fashioned.

Reservations are highly necessary as tables inside get reserved quickly. Service is acceptable given the crowds.

Food wise, I'd return for the sliders and pancakes in a heartbeat...won't say the same for the dishes that had "Mcdonald" moments. Brunch beckons too now!

  1. Thank you for covering on Overeasy! I've always wanted to try but was kinda hesitant, and waiting for someone to do it and tell me what's good! Heh ;)

The view should be quite good soon right?

  2. The "To Die For" burger looks kinda unbalanced in size - goin' to topple over anytime. Is that pattie so tiny or the bun too big? :O
