By now, you'd know how much of a seasonal person I am.
In fact, anything seasonal or limited edition makes me tick for food, as does fashion.
There's always a reason to commemorate any season..and as much as I was tempted by the chocolate bunnies and easter eggs (with the exception of Marriott's Easter Egg hidden in a bun), this year's Easter came and went with Swissbake's Hot Cross Buns!
Last year's Werner's Oven's Hot Cross Buns left a deep enough impression for me to make it an annual affair.
Swissbake was emptying their stocks on Easter itself, 1-for-1.
Priced at 50 cents each, what's not to love?
After some microwaving and grilling, these are good to go. Two types of raisins and dried fruit, the chewy texture is more than addictive. Fills you up so considerably, the "cross" on the bun is really just ornamental.
