Mr Foo's Amazing Home-made Ice Lemon Tea
Not too sure if that's the name of the ICT, 'amazing' I found not in the sweet tea.
Cajun Fish Stew
Honey Baked Chicken with Butter Rice
Tomato Chicken Stew
Beef Stew
Mexican Chicken
Of the lot, I enjoyed the Honey Baked Chicken best. Honey glazed chicken meat was comparatively better than the overly spiced Cajun Fish Stew and Tomato Chicken Stew. The portion of meats serve will please any carnivore, chunky and meaty. The beef in the Beef Stew was just plain for me, did not create much of an impression. Butter rice could do with more butter...and finally, delicious foccacia bread fingers.
In a nutshell, honey baked chicken and foccacia worked for me.
Mixed How's Salad
Who's "How"? The same way who's "Mr Foo"? When dishes are named, I thought there should be some relevance somewhere or another but neither rang a bell. Like their names, equally forgettable.
Mushroom Soup
Overload of milk and mushrooms.
Mango/Strawberry Creamcakes
These would be replaced by Carrot Cake or Chocolate Cake in the menu. I did not mind this pillowy soft cake, perhaps bought from the neighbourhood bakery! Liked the fruit embedded within. So soft that it barely holds up on its own, weird saying this but it melted in the mouth.
Set lunches are $8.50 for the salad, soup, mains and dessert which is a steal. Price wise, it is great value, if something has to give...it's taste.
Botak Jones has halted the launch of their set menus as the owner is not too pleased with the quality of entrees. Wish them luck in perfecting it then!
