Gelato used to be the apple of everyone's tastebuds, a yardstick for all things healthy with screaming statistics "99% fatfree" yada. Gelatissimo was one of the few pioneers, as far as the memory goes and I remember clutching the cup in sheer delight.
Fat free icecreams are almost like the real thing, that's how gelatos are to me.
Settled on Pistachio after sampling quite a few till the snooty-faced waiter got impatient. Creamy goodness with an uber smooth finish and subtle flavouring. It would have been ideal if chopped pistachios were churned in. A treat for a scorching day!
