Dinner @ SQ

With much reluctance, I left Shanghai and was not expecting much after that airline Breakfast I had!

I couldn't resist Irish Baileys neat though on the rocks would have been better.

Somehow their Intercontinental selections always appeal to me as opposed to Asian selection.

Grilled Fish that was surprisingly appetizing with buttery mashed potatoes and oily sauteed vegetables.

Refreshing Waldorf salad, the ham slices did not taste straight off a pack, thankfully.

Once again, the bread roll was pathetically hard.

Finally a decent side! Cheese and crackers.

Viennetta icecream! As a child, this was the ultimate treat, the creamy wave layers of vanilla ice cream with crunchy chocolate. It came in a "loaf" and I would always envision the Mom slicing it with such lovingness, like the all american happy family the commercial always portrayed. I was most delighted to see this.

Was not as satisfied as I used to be, but I guess that is the thing with foods of the past. This mini version of the loaf ice-cream was just a block of vanilla ice with chocolate syrup lacing the top.
