Provence Bakery 2 @ Lorong Liput

A bakery on its own is so hard to miss along Lorong Liput. I'm sure Provence Bakery and its petite counterparts had to be different, somehow.

I wasn't wrong;

Variety's mind boggling, fickle me paced up and down until the famous melon pans were sold out before my very eyes.

Pigeon holes of baked goodies!

The shop size is way bigger than the counter at Central, you can even sit and eat there!
Sandwich sets and beverages are up for grabs too!

Bread here, bread there..bread everywhere.

Mamma mia..

Petit lon Banana ($1.20)

The fragrance of this is very distracting. Even in a double knotted bag, the fragrance still wafted up. My favourite of this lot of buns! Albeit small portion, every bite has mashed bananas and the kueh like texture of this is very addictive.

Cinnamon Bun ($1.90)

A disappointment. It came across as dry and coarse with a slight cinnamon hint.

Milk Pan ($1.50)

Light sweet bread with milky cream cheese filling. I found this not too bad.

Blueberry Cream Cheese ($1.60)

Interesting one, with a bread base, blueberry jam filling and topped out with a cheesecake like layering. I love how the overall texture and taste of it.

Brazilian Soy Cheese Buns ($1.10)

I wouldn't pass these up for the world, Provence's pride. The ones at Lorong Liput were slightly denser, the oil taste was inevitable somehow but still chewy. I hope it's not the curse of "it only tastes good the first time round".

Melon Pan and Brown rice Anpan soon..if only parking around the area wasn't such a hassle!

  1. I am a big fan of their Brazilian cheese buns, Sweet Apple and Sesame Cheese...

Pretty surprised there are still a wide selection at the time of your visit. The sky looks pretty dark, like 8pm?
