Lyn and I have been on this longdrawn journey of training to be Tai-tais. Ok, a given misconception from the girls who graduate from a particular school. It doesn't hurt dreaming of becoming one. Off to Lawry's for their Tea Special, 230 - 5pm, daily!

Two sets of tea specials up for grabs;
$10 gets you...Cheese fries/Onion rings/Wildberry cheesecake with Vanilla Ice-cream
$12 gets you...Yorkshire Roll up with beef/Calamari/Pecan Brownie with Vanilla Ice-cream
We both opted for the $12 menu. There's a choice of juices/coffee/tea to go with the tea special. Cranberry juice for both of us.
The yorkshire rolls are sliced yorkshire pudding stuffed with green and red peppers and beef cubes. Yorkshire pudding are already delicious on their own. Tasty things these are, better with a dash or Lawry's salt or pepper.
Greatly amused by the muffin wrappers..
Some service lapses, a plate of butter was placed on the table and upon asking if bread would be served the waitress simply muttered "wrongly placed" and promptly whisked it away. The other table was served that even before they placed their orders for lunch!
After we've polished off the delicious rolls, the waitress proceeds to take them away in a gruff voice "So are you done?"
I'm sure Lawry's is capable of so much better, they are usually much better. That aside, I'm dreaming of their ribeye and prawn combi.. hmm.
