The takeaway shops under Da Paolo baffles me, first we have gastronomia and then we have dolci. Anyhow, R and I were hunting for a dessert place for takeaways on a Saturday Night. Turns out, only Dolci was open. I was attracted by the fondant character cakes they've got on display, absolutely gorgeous!
We settled for 6 mini cupcakes, $1.20 each min 4. The size of a 50 cent coin each are, doesn't that scream "not worth it"? Pretty ickle things. Anyway, the icing's sweet atop a fluffy sponge cake filling. It's good but just not that good. I don't quite need a da paolo to achieve a good sponge cake.

Their macarons are good... I would say the rose ones are comparable to Canele...

I saw your post abt them..I was so tempted to try the macarons!! Yep...their stuff's very pricey. The petit fours are $2.20 each and they're not bigger than a 50 cent coin!
