I'm a self-confessed Waraku fan and they've got lunch specials throughout the week now, as compared to weekdays only. Priced at $9.80++, you can choose an item from the rice and noodle section to complete the meal. With a pinch of salt, we laughed off the set meal being timely in such economic situations.
Mrs Lim's Cha Soba and sushi set. The noodles are somewhat too green and lacking in bite. I still prefer Shimbashi's.
My order of pork ramen and cutlet set! The pork ramen's chewy, the soup's flavourful but there was only one measly slice of fatty pork. The pork's cooked just right, not too tough. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cutlet came with rice! This time, their katsu's not overcooked, juicy and crispy. The egg went well with it, a huge surprise for someone who doesn't really touch half-boiled eggs. The meal came with a radish-wasabi mix that tantalised the tastebuds quite abit! I was sooooo stuffed thereafter.
Very worth it set lunch I must say! Portions are good enough for a hungry eater, if not suits two small eaters perfectly. Loved it and will definitely be back for more!
