Yes, another on the old-school entries. Those were the days where Yaohan Ampan buns were all the rage, I remember a particular aunt queueing for them for hours and distributing them to the families. Then some point it was kaya buns for teabreak at school...the now defunct Red House and their famous ampan buns...a week ago, we were given kaya and red bean buns!

I underestimated them buns. Everyone in the family loved them.

The bread's chewy, the filling's generous..what's best, it's very easy on the pocket! Where to find a packet of buns for slightly over a dollar these days? PLUS, the size of the buns aren't compromised!

Google its name I did, Swee Heng Confectionary...a mighty find. It has outlets all over the island, more so concentrated in the north and west.
